RESPONSE is proudly one of the West of Scotland's largest private sector employers.  As such, we take seriously our relationship and responsibilities towards our employees, local community, and the environment. 

These three important areas at the centre of our business each have their own unique strategy delivered by a dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility Team.

Our Employees

We invest in our staff, providing our new call centre employees with comprehensive initial and development training. A key feature is to create and maintain a working environment that allows our people to be at their best and therefore produce a first class service for our clients and their customers. We have a range of policies such as Equal Opportunities that help provide our people with the opportunity to have a good work/life balance, achieve personal goals, and create a Family atmosphere. We also promote fun events and activities designed to engage with both the RESPONSE family and the wider community.

Environment

Our second commitment is to effective environmental practice. We have a responsibility to minimise our environmental impact and are continuously seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprint as part of our corporate strategy. We are fully committed to carrying out our business in an environmentally responsible manner and our management processes ensure that the impact on the environment is monitored and controlled. Key areas of focus to date have included waste separation and recycling, electricity consumption, printing reduction and stationery use. We also participated in the 10:10 project to unite every sector of British society and achieve a 10% cut in the UK’s carbon emissions during 2010. We are proud of the fact that we exceeded this target and delivered closer to 20% reduction. We are ISO14001 accredited. More information on our Environmental Policy.

Community and Charity 

A key aspect of our CSR activities is our work in the community. We support one main charity per year and raise a target sum of money that will have a significant impact on that charity. Our main charity is chosen through employee nomination and our current charity of choice is The Yorkhill Children’s Foundation. We are also the principle sponsor of the Glasgow Warriors Rugby team, which has allowed us to become more involved with community initiatives.
