Corporate Social Responsibility

CSR is fundamental to delivering RESPONSE's business goals

Corporate Social Responsibility

RESPONSE's approach to CSR will enable the company to meet its social, environmental and ethical responsibilities and satisfy the expectation of our clients and employees.

Corporate Social Responsibility encompasses how we address and manage issues that arise from our business activities. Good performance on corporate responsibility supports our business strategy because it protects and enhances our relationships and reputation with our staff and our clients.

RESPONSE‘s approach is focused on four main areas that are at the centre of our business - our employees, our community, the environment and our business practice.

The first is in the way that we relate to our employees. RESPONSE is one of the West of Scotland's largest private employers. As such we invest in our staff, providing all new employees with comprehensive initial and development training. Employees also have the opportunity to complete professional qualifications ranging from SVQ's to CIPD to MBA's. A key feature is to create and maintain an environment that allows our people to be at their best and therefore produce a first class service for our clients.

Our second commitment is to good environmental practice. As our business is office based we do not have, comparatively speaking, a large impact on the environment. We do, however, have a responsibility to minimise our impact, and are continuously seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprints as part of our corporate strategy. These measures include recycling, duplex printing, computer shut-down and idle-environment lighting.

The third aspect of our CSR activities will be our work in the community. Many of our employees give up their own time to support and raise funds for a range of charities and local causes. At RESPONSE we will actively support these initiatives. We support local charities which are suggested and managed by our staff on a regular basis. Furthermore, as part of Murray International Holdings, a percentage of our profits go the Murray Foundation, established by David Murray in 1996 as a support service for amputees and their families in Scotland.

RESPONSE‘s business practice is our fourth area and this has been and will continue to be central to our success. This will be done by treating our clients’ services and products with respect, by adhering to our legal responsibilities and current legislation. We do this through our many accreditations including the Financial Services Authority, British Standards Institute ISO Registration, Direct Marketing Association and the Customer Contact Association.

CSR is a matter of continuous development and improvement and we welcome comments and input from all our stakeholders. Our approach is to work in partnership to best represent the brands we work with.
