Learning and Development Specialist / Full-time

How long have you worked at RESPONSE?

Over 2 years.

How has your career developed since you first started?

I was an advisor for one of our financial services clients from January 2009 before becoming a seconded trainer in October 2009. I then became a Learning and Development Specialist in June 2010.

Tell us about your current role and what you enjoy about it?

I love my job. For me the Learning and Development department is the most challenging exciting and inspiring part of the business. The people are phenomenal! We welcome people to Response, and are responsible for the first impression they have. We prepare staff for starting their new role, as well as motivate and educate new and existing employees.  We inspire staff to attain their targets and develop themselves professionally, ensuring every manager, advisor and member of staff be all they can be. It's not always easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

What do you like best about RESPONSE as an employer?

RESPONSE gives you opportunities to progress.

What's been the most enjoyable social event you've been to at RESPONSE and why?

Reach for the Stars - the staff talent competition to raise funds for Yorkhill Children’s Charity - was amazing!

What is your top work tip?

There is always time for lunch.
