Generous employees, including Chief Executive David Wallace, donated their time by manning telephone lines and taking pledges.
Clydebank-based customer contact centre and business process outsourcer, RESPONSE, was selected by the organisers of Red Nose Day 07 to take pledges for the official BBC telethon.
The effort was outstanding and employees collected pledges of almost £90,000k on behalf of the charity. This effort was supplemented by employee fundraising efforts across all RESPONSE sites that raised a further £2k.
Generous employees, including Chief Executive David Wallace, donated their time by manning telephone lines and taking pledges. They also arranged fundraising activities including fancy dress competitions, PS2 “Guitar Hero” challenges and body waxing.
The events were organised and co-ordinated by RESPONSE staff as part of the business’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme. Employees got into the spirit of things by donning red wigs, ears and noses and the office was given the Red Nose Day treatment with red balloons, streamers and posters.
Commenting on the investment in time and the amount raised, Chief Executive David Wallace, said:
“Red Nose Day 07 has been a great success and we are proud to have been able to play our part and contribute to this. Friday evening was very enjoyable and all the employees who participated and invested their time displayed a tremendous enthusiasm. The amount raised is testimony to the generosity of our employees and I would like to thanks all those who contributed for their efforts.”
