RESPONSE appoints Head of Learning and Development

PDFPrint

RESPONSE enhances its strategy for staff development.

RESPONSE, one of Scotland’s largest customer contact outsourcers, has announced the appointment of Ben White, 46 as Head of Learning and Development.
White is an important addition to the RESPONSE team and brings 16 years of experience in the contact centre industry to the table, having developed and implemented Learning & Development programmes as a freelance consultant for a number of blue chip clients as well as heading up, at director level, People Development and Operations with 2 UK-based companies.

Working across all of RESPONSE’s UK sites, White will head up a team of 26 staff responsible for devising and implementing learning and development programmes and initiatives. This will range from regular vocational training and programmes to assist personal development, through to the creation of bespoke client training packages.

Ben White said;

“RESPONSE is an extremely fast growing and forward thinking business and in my new position as Head of Learning and Development I am looking forward to utilising my skills and expertise to make a huge contribution.”

“This is an exciting time for the sector, as companies look to introduce ever more sophisticated ways of communicating with customers to deliver added value service.
This requires a skilled and adaptable workforce, and I think we are already seeing the benefits of this as RESPONSE moves towards an all permanent, rather than a temporary, staff base.”

David Wallace, RESPONSE Chief Executive added:

“Ben has over 16 years of experience and a vast knowledge of the customer contact centre industry and I have no doubt that he will prove to be a huge asset to us.

“RESPONSE has a clear strategy for development and key managerial appointments like this will ensure that we move forward and continue to strengthen the position of the business in an increasingly competitive market.”
