RESPONSE is delighted to announce that it has won a new contract with Maven Capital Partners to run the Scottish Loan Fund’s registration helpline.
Maven, which will manage the fund, awarded the contract to RESPONSE after it produced a compelling outsourced contact centre management solution within 24 hours of receiving the brief.
The comprehensive package comprised the implementation of a full call centre service, including a new helpline number, and the creation and development of a new desktop software application for call handlers. In addition, RESPONSE recruited a team of advisors, developed a training plan for the new recruits and prepared a commercial contract for Maven.
The Glasgow-based contact centre operator, which is one of the largest private employers in the city, will be responsible for handling calls to the Scottish Loan Fund (SLF) from small and medium-sized businesses. RESPONSE advisors will gather detailed information about the companies, whose eligibility will be assessed by Maven.
The Scottish Loan Fund, which is part of the Scottish Investment Bank (SIB), can provide loans of between £250,000 and £5m to companies with an annual turnover above £1m that demonstrates growth or export potential. £55 million of public sector funding from the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund (“ERDF”) has been committed to cornerstone the SLF.
Brian Bannatyne, managing director of RESPONSE, said: “We look forward to working with Maven to deliver vital funding to Scottish businesses through the Scottish Loan Fund, helping to drive the future growth of the Scottish economy.
“The speed at which our team was able to establish the helpline is testament to the expertise and dedication of our staff and their focus on delivering the best possible solution for each individual client. We are delighted to be able to add a business of the stature of Maven to our already impressive list of clients.”
Andrew Craig, partner at Maven Capital Partners, said “We are delighted to be working alongside the team at Response to assist us with this major new initiative. They were a natural choice for us and we were impressed with their ability to provide a tailored solution in such a short space of time”.
