From the very first day at RESPONSE, you will receive all the support your need for what we hope will be a long and successful career with our company.
Our initial training programme has recently been redeveloped with the focus very much on your needs as a new employee. On joining the company, you will receive a personalised folder which will act as your ‘lifetime learning manual’ in which to store notes from all the coaching sessions and training courses undertaken during your time with the company. This provides you with an excellent reference resource to help you in your day-to-day employment, and acts as evidence of your skills when applying for promotion or another post within the organisation.
Your initial training will focus on contact centre skills and client-specific product knowledge. Once you complete your training, you will continue to receive every support you need to ease you into the ‘live’ contact centre environment through ongoing feedback and coaching sessions with your Team Leaders.
There will be many more opportunities to develop your skills as you progress through your career. Each year, we publish a Learning and Development Annual Commitment which sets out all of the training and development opportunities which are available to you – including lunchtime master classes, up-skilling workshops, rapid fire refresher sessions and quarterly seminars. You can even register for ‘on-the-job’ training and assessment to earn a Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) in Customer Service.
Opportunities for promotion to Team Leader and beyond are there for those who can demonstrate the right skills and commitment, and we also have people working in other departments across the business who started their career as agents.
